At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

describe the interaction between climate change, air pollution, and infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. Identify the inter-generational inequities that climate change poses to the world’s children and the environmental injustices to historically disadvantaged communities;
identify factors associated with successful social movements and inform participants about the Climate and Health Fellowship for medical professionals with community partnerships through Cambridge Health alliance; describe successful projects that have already been undertaken;
describe opportunities for medical professionals to advocate to lawmakers at the state and federal level for policies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions;
identify specific opportunities that healthcare workers and scientists can undertake to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and waste in their workplaces
