Patrick R. Ching, MD, MPH was an infectious diseases fellow at Washington University in St. Louis/Barnes Jewish Hospital. He worked at the National Institutes of Health in Manila studying HIV, STIs and parasitic infections. After obtaining his master’s degree in public health (biostatistics/epidemiology) from Harvard, he became part of the Center for Evidence-Based Imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He finished his internal medicine residency training at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus in Baltimore, Maryland where he also served as chief resident. He is currently an assistant professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. His interests are HIV, general infectious diseases and hospital epidemiology.
