Dr. Trivedi is an Associate professor of medicine and the medical director of infection prevention for UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She obtained her medical degree from UMDNJ, now Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, completed an Internal medicine residency at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts and then an Infectious disease fellowship at Boston University Medical Center. After completing fellowship, she joined the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and expanded into the role of Hospital epidemiologist for Suburban Hospital, a community hospital that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine network.
She is actively involved with SHEA (Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America) and is currently serving as the Chair of the SHEA Spring 2024 Conference and the Vice-chair of the SHEA DEI committee. She has completed the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI) Leadership Experience and was part of the IDSA Leadership Institute Community of Leaders program in 2022. She has trained as a professional coach by completing over 100 hours of coursework and completed the certification program in July 2023 through CTI. She actively coaches faculty, residents and medical students at UTSW and due to her own personal experiences, is a fierce advocate for prioritizing mental health and well-being in medicine.
