Erin is a Biomedical Engineering PhD Candidate in the laboratory of Gautam Dantas in the Department of Pathology & Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis (2019-present). She received a BS in Chemical Engineering and in Biochemistry from the University of Missouri, Columbia in 2019. In the Dantas Lab, her research has focused on transmission and colonization of antibiotic resistant organisms in the hospital environment, specifically through the lens of 1) characterization and removal of AROs that colonize sink drains and 2) transmission of C. difficile between patients and their surroundings. She is an avid reader and rock climber, and enjoys doing computational work with a cat in her lap.
