Ruth Adekunle, M.D., MSc, is an assistant professor of medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina and Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center who joined the Division of Infectious Diseases in 2020. Dr. Adekunle is board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include general infectious diseases, infections in immunocompromised hosts, HIV, and hepatitis C. Her research interests focus on disparities in access to transplantation and infections in immunocompromised hosts.
