I am April Nguyen, currently a graduate research assisatnt affiliated with McGovern Medical School in Houston, TX USA. My research focuses on daptomycin resistance in multi drug resistant enterococci. Specifically, I am elucidating the mechanism of membrane adaptation in these organisms and the role of cardiolipin synthase in potentially mediating this effect.
