Monika Jelic, MD, is a third year fellow in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at the University of Washington. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine, taking part in the WWAMI program. She completed her pediatric residency at University of California San Diego/Rady Children’s Hospital. She has served as an investigator for the Children and COVID-19 in Colorado (CCC) study during the COVID-19 pandemic, and her research interests also include working with the Children’s Hospital Colorado Microbiology Laboratory to enhance provision of clinically meaningful tracheal aspirate culture results.
