Haya Hayek, MBBS, is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the department of pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She graduated from Jordan University of Science and Technology, School of Medicine in 2018, and worked in Amman, Jordan as a general practitioner in the COVID-19 units during the pandemic. Haya then moved to Nashville, TN in 2021 and started working in the division of pediatric infectious diseases at VUMC. That's when she discovered her deep passion in the field of Infectious Diseases and Healthcare policy and management. Haya is planning on starting residency and pursuing further education in Healthcare policy and management. In her free time, Haya enjoys traveling, writing poetry, learning new languages, and volunteering.
