Matthew C. Phillips, MD, PhD (he/him/his)

Matthew Phillips received his Bachelor of Science in Marine and Atmospheric Science at the University of Miami in Miami, Florida. He stayed at the University of Miami and for the Medical Scientist Training Program at the Miller School of Medicine where he received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology, working in the laboratory of Dr. Maria Abreu and his M.D. He completed his internal medicine residency at Los Angeles County + University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He is now an infectious diseases fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital & Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. His current research is exploring mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in enterococci.
