Dr. McNeil completed his medical school, pediatrics residency and ID fellowship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. He currently serves as a pediatric infectious diseases attending at Texas Children's Hospital and Associate Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. He has an interest in gram positive pathogens in children and clinical epidemiology with specific research intersts in Staphylococcus aureus/MRSA, antibiotic and antiseptic resistance, osteoarticular infections, head/neck infections, and healthcare associated infections.
Dr. McNeil is a past recipient of a K23 Career Development Award from NIAID and currently holds an R01 from AHRQ. In addition he has received intramural and industry funding for his work. He has provided research mentorship to undergraduate, medical and allied health students as well as residents and infectious diseases fellows.
