Dr. Rachel Harold is an infectious disease physician and the Supervisory Medical Officer at the DC Department of Health (DC Health) in the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, STD and Tuberculosis Administration (HAHSTA). She went to George Washington University for medical school, then completed training in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital. She was chief medical resident and then a hospitalist at the DC Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She returned to GW to complete fellowship in Infectious Diseases and now practices as a clinician at the DC Health and Wellness Center, a low barrier sexual health and TB clinic operated by DC Health. Dr. Harold also works part-time as an advocacy consultant on the health impacts of climate change.
