Lahari Telang graduated from dental school in 2003 and completed her masters in Oral Medicine and Radiology in 2007 from Mysore, India. She is a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow and is employed as associate professor and head of Oral Medicine and Radiology in Penang International Dental College, Malaysia. Lahari is currently pursuing her PhD from the school of medicine, University College Dublin. With years of experience in teaching and learning, she is dedicated to enhancing educational experiences in dentistry through curriculum development, training workshops and clinical audits. Her research interests focus on equitable oral health care, Oral Potentially malignant disorders, Antimicrobial stewardship in dentistry, and CBCT (cone beam computed tomography) training and dental education research. She has published widely in national and international journals and also co-authored a book on OSCE in clinical dental sciences. Having the ability to converse comfortably in four languages Lahari comes across as a pleasant person with good communication and mentoring skills.
