Dr. J.D. Zipkin is the Chief Medical Officer at GoHealth Urgent Care, providing recommendations for executive clinical strategy in an innovative omnichannel healthcare delivery model spanning over 250 urgent care centers in 11 health system joint ventures across the country. Dr. Zipkin has a background in computer science prior to becoming a physician, and is independently board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He specializes in systems analysis and actionable automated informatics that produce desired material behavior change at scale across an organization.
He is the recipient of the Urgent Care Association’s National Quality and Safety Award and their current Antibiotic Stewardship Chair. Based on innovations with antibiotic stewardship, he was the first person in the urgent care industry to be invited to the CDC’s Antimicrobial Challenge, implemented at a United Nations General Assembly satellite event, and has earned the HANYS Pinnacle Award for Quality and Safety.
Dr. Zipkin is honored to participate in IDWeek 2023, and welcomes networking with others who are passionate about antibiotic stewardship.
