Dr. Leung (she/her) is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacist, and co-leads the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program (ASP) at St. Michael’s Hospital. Dr. Leung joined St. Michael’s Hospital in 2013, after completing her PGY1 clinical practice residency (UCSF), and PGY2/3 specialty residency training in infectious diseases and critical care (Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Rush Medical Center, Midwestern University/Chicago College of Pharmacy).
Dr. Leung is a former member of the Ontario COVID-19 Science Advisory Table’s Clinical Practice Guidelines working group and a current member of the Ontario Health ID Advisory Committee. She coordinates the Infectious Diseases course at the University of Toronto, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy (PharmD for Pharmacists program). Dr. Leung served as an inaugural member and a past-chair of the Board of Pharmacotherapy Specialists (BPS) ID Specialty Council, and is an active member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists (SIDP). Her research interests include antimicrobial stewardship, optimizing pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) for multi-drug resistant organisms, and enhancing microbiology antibiograms for clinical use.
