Susan Little, M.D. is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Public Health, at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Little is Director of the Antiviral Research Center (AVRC) and clinical research site (CRS) leader for the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) site at UC San Diego. Her research is focused on HIV prevention and the use of molecular epidemiologic methods to infer and characterize HIV transmission networks and applied interventions to reduce network incidence. She is actively involved in the training and mentoring of students, post-doctoral research fellows and junior faculty. Dr. Little completed fellowship training in infectious diseases at UC San Diego School of Medicine. She completed residency training in internal medicine at Washington University, Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Little earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
