Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Ambulatory/Infectious Diseases
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center
Boston, MA, United States
Dr. Monica Mahoney earned her PharmD from MCPHS University - Boston and completed PGY1 and PGY2-ID training at Tufts Medical Center. She is board certified in pharmacotherapy and infectious diseases. For almost 10 years, she practiced as the clinical coordinator of infectious diseases at BIDMC, before taking on a new position in the outpatient ID and OPAT clinics where she has been for 4 years now. Dr. Mahoney is a proud member of several infectious diseases and pharmacy organizations including ACCP, ASHP, IDSA, SHEA, and SIDP and has held leadership positions in many of them. She currently serves as an associate editor at OFID and is on the editorial advisory boards for Contagion Live and ASHE. In her spare time, she coordinates monthly virtual meetings among pharmacists and other clinicians practicing in OPAT. She prides herself on witty (possibly cheesy) presentation titles. You can follow her on twitter: @mmPharmD.
