Dr. Howard is an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research focuses on pneumococcal colonization and disease in young children and the impact of respiratory viruses on pneumococcal colonization dynamics. She is also interested in the study of transmission of respiratory viruses and antibiotic-resistant bacteria within households and communities.
