Christina Yen is an ID physician, bioethicist, and the newly appointed medical director of antimicrobial stewardship at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She did her undergraduate studies, medical school training, and internal medicine residency at the University of Southern California. She completed her clinical infectious diseases fellowship and an additional year of training in healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center before obtaining her Masters in Bioethics through the Harvard Medical school. Christina is interested in developing the application of and pedagogy for bioethics within healthcare epidemiology and antimicrobial stewardship through research, writing, and mentorship. Outside of work, you can find her perfecting her baking projects, bird watching, or playing table top board games.
