Dr. Gabriela Zambrano is an Internal Medicine Specialist graduated from the Pontificial Catholic University of Ecuador with a Master's Degree on Infectious Diseases from the Cardenal Herrera University of Spain. She has participated as leader of the multidisciplinary consensus group for the treatment of COVID-19 in Ecuador, which provided the first set of guidelines to treat this disease in her country. Currently she is chair of the Infectious Diseases Class of the Faculty of Medicine of the Central University of Ecuador and coordinator of the COVID-19 comittee of the Panamerican Infecitous Diseases Society. She has practiced Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases in some of the most prestigious public institutions of Ecuador as well as currently holding a titular position at the International Clinic of Ecuador.
