Dr. Aliyah Baluch has been at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL, USA for the more than 10 years working as a dedicated Transplant Infectious Diseases physician for the growing BMT CI group and its patients. She is a graduate of University of South Florida College of Medicine. She went on to do internal medicine residency, general infectious diseases fellowship and then transplant infectious diseases fellowship at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
She is the Program Lead for the Transplant Infectious Diseases service at Moffitt Cancer Center where she works with a great multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice practitioners and pharmacists. Dr. Baluch is an active member of the antimicrobial stewardship team at Moffitt as well. She is an international speaker discussing issues such as antimicrobial stewardship in the immunosuppressed as well as infections in stem cell transplant and CAR T patients.
