Since 2016, she has served as the Director of the Division of Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH. In this role, she oversees a $2.0 billion extramural research portfolio in basic, translational and clinical research covering all infectious disease pathogens except HIV.
