Paul Pottinger MD specializes in General Adult ID at the University of Washington. He directs the UW Medical Center Montlake General ID Clinical Section, the General ID Clinic, and co-directs the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. Medical educaiton is one of Paul's main passions: He is actively engaged in the training of ID fellows, and served as Associate Fellowship Director and then Director from 2009 - 2023--he would love to talk with aspiring ID doctors about their career pathway choices! He is also trained in Tropical Medicine, and teaches parasitology at the LSHTM East African Diploma Course in Moshi, Tanzania each year. Mountaineering is his hobby.
