Resident Physician
Olive View-UCLA Medical Center
My name is Kevin Kurator, MD, and I am a third year resident in Internal Medicine at Olive View - UCLA Medical Center. I grew up in Southern California, and I developed an interest in transnational health and healthcare in immigrant border communities while studying Latin American/Latino Studies and Human Biology at UC Santa Cruz. I worked in HIV Healthcare for several years prior to starting medical school at UC San Diego, where I was a co-chair of the Border Health Project and of the LGBTQ advocacy organization. At my current institution, I plan to take a chief year and then apply for fellowship in Infectious Disease. In my future career I hope to be able to continue working in underserved and migrant communities along the southern US border.
