Stefka Dzieciolowska MD, MSc, is currently a third year resident in Internal Medicine at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She completed both her MD and Msc at McGill University. During her MSc, she conducted neuroscience research using electrophysiology on zebrafish models. In particular, she investigated the role of larvicides on neurodevelopment and microcephaly thought to be related to the Zika virus outbreak in 2016, publishing in Nature: Scientific reports. Since entering her medical career, she has conducted most of her research around COVID-19, studying outcomes in outpatient populations, as well as studying the duration of COVID-19 infectivity and vaccination acceptance in healthcare workers. Her other research interests include healthcare and ultrasound applications in medical education. When not on clinical duty or involved in academic endeavors, Stefka enjoys fostering kittens and cycling.
