Uzoamaka A. Eke, M.B.B.S is an Infectious Diseases clinician educator at the University of MD school of Medicine with special interests in medical education, HIV and aging and surgical infectious diseases involving S. aureus and orthopedic infections.
Dr. Eke earned her medical degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Medical School in 2005. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the University College of Brooklyn at Long Island College Hospital, New York in 2007 and Infectious Diseases fellowship at the University of Connecticut Health Center in 2012. Dr. Eke spends most of her clinical time attending on infectious diseases inpatient rounds and enjoys precepting medical students. She enjoys clinical research and other scholarly work and has authored and coauthored several peer reviewed papers. Dr. Eke is an avid reader who enjoys singing, running and time with family.
Dr. Eke’s overarching goal is to be a clinical educator who excels in all areas that embody an academic clinical faculty including but not limited to leadership, clinical practice, teaching, mentoring and scholarship.
