Tarfa Verinumbe is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, with over 5 years of global health experinence speciacally focused on PEPFAR/CDC-funded HIV projects. He holds a Medical Degree from Ahmadu Bello University and a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research currently focuses on developing strategies to improve enagement in mental health and substance use disorder care among people with HIV in the US. He is passionate about improving the lives of people living with HIV through patient-centered, culturally adaptive research.
