Dr. Ian Plumb (MBBS, MSc) is a medical epidemiologist at CDC with an interest in surveillance of a range of infections, and a focus on Salmonella. Before joining CDC in 2014 as an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer with the Arctic Investigations Program, Dr. Plumb trained as an infectious disease physician in the UK. Dr. Plumb's previous experience includes work to establish pneumococcal surveillance in The Gambia, and he holds a masters degree in epidemiology.
