Dr. Mariam Younas is an Assistant Professor and a core faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Hurley Medical Center-Michigan State University/College of Human Medicine and also serve as the Associate Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and a member of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee (P&T) for the Hurley Medical Center. Before joining Hurley Medical Center, Dr. Younas served as the physician lead of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Collaborative of South Carolina, a collaboration between 50 acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and ambulatory practices in the state, coordinating antimicrobial stewardship efforts in South Carolina through numerous projects and interventions.
Dr. Younas completed her Internal Medicine residency from Rush University Medical Center, Chicago IL in June 2012 and Infectious Diseases fellowship from Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis IN in August 2015. She served as a Chief Clinical fellow in her final year of Infectious Diseases fellowship.
