Jeremy Gold, MD, MS, is a medical officer in the Mycotic Diseases Branch (MDB), Division of Foodborne, Waterborne, and Environmental Diseases (DFWED), at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His work focuses on antifungal-resistant mold infections and strengthening national surveillance for invasive fungal diseases. He serves as principal investigator for the Candidemia and Mold Emerging Infections Program (EIP) surveillance platforms, leading efforts to generate population-based data to inform prevention and response strategies. He received his MD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Columbia University. His interests include emerging fungal threats, surveillance epidemiology, and translating data into actionable public health guidance.
