Sasisopin Kiertiburanakul is currently a Professor of Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. She has served as the chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases since 2015. She is also the assistant to the Dean for Corporate Communication, the vice president of the Infectious Disease Association of Thailand, and the secretary of the Thai AIDS Society.
Prof. Kiertiburanakul graduated from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. She was a clinical fellow of infectious diseases at the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University. She obtained her Master of Health Science in epidemiology from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University, USA.
Prof. Kiertiburanakul’s research focuses on general infectious diseases, tropical infectious diseases, and HIV. She is an author, co-authored and collaborated on more than 230 articles published in peer-reviewed medical journals, and is still actively involved in several ongoing clinical studies. She is also a committee member and consultant of various national organizations, for example, the Ministry of Public Health and the National HIV Guidelines Committee.
