Dr. Catherine Liu is an Associate Professor in the Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Associate Professor in the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington Medical Center. She is Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy (OPAT) Programs and Associate Director of Infection Control at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Her clinical and research interests include infections in immunocompromised hosts focusing on those with cancer and hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients, implementation and evaluation of strategies to optimize antimicrobial use, management of antimicrobial resistant pathogens, and prevention of healthcare associated infections.
