Dr. Amanda S. Evans is an assistant professor in pediatric infectious diseases (ID) at UT Southwestern Medical Center Dallas. Dr. Evans joined the faculty in 2012 at UT Southwestern, where she currently is the medical director of the ID-related outpatient services, including the pediatric ID clinic, congenital ID clinic, and pediatric HIV clinics. Her recent peer-reviewed publications include topics on congenital syphilis, HIV infection in adolescents, and intrauterine transmission of COVID-19. The Children’s Medical Center of Dallas ARMS Clinic, which she leads, has provided comprehensive healthcare of HIV-exposed infants and HIV-infected children and adolescents for over 30 years, in addition to providing provider-to-provider telephone consultations for the greater north Texas regional area for perinatal and pediatric/adolescent HIV recommendations.
