Kaiser Permanente Southern California
I am a Pediatric Infectious Disease specialist at Kaiser Permanente, Southern California and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. I helped develop and conduct vaccine safety studies including a Phase III trial of the PCV13 vaccine and three large post-licensure safety studies and enjoy participating in epidemiology studies in support of vaccine development. In addition, I am currently participating in two vaccine phase IV post-licensure safety studies--one of an adjuvanted recombinant Hepatitis B vaccine and one of a Tdap vaccine in pregnancy and several post-EUA effectiveness studies of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 mRNA vaccines. As an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, I teach medical students, residents, and Pediatric Infectious Disease fellows. I received my medical degree from the University of California, San Diego.
