Chengyi Zheng is a principal architect - data scientist on ML and NLP at Research and Evaluation Department at Kaiser Permanente Southern California, USA. He obtained his Ph.D. in computer science from Oregon Health and Science University, focusing on artificial intelligence. He has worked on projects using machine learning and natural language processing for the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device sectors. He took first place in the Kaiser Permanente data science competition in 2016 and the NIST's TREC Clinical Trial Task in 2021, respectively. He has been involved in numerous artificial intelligence-based cardiovascular research projects.
