Dr Cai Yiying is an Assistant Professor at the Programme in Health Services & Systems Research, Duke-NUS. She graduated from NUS in 2008, and thereafter, obtained a MSc (Infectious Diseases) from the LSHTM and a PhD from Dept of Pharmacy, NUS. From 2009 – 2021, Yiying worked as a Specialist Pharmacist (Infectious Diseases) in Singapore General Hospital, during which she underwent an one-year Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Residency training, as well as obtained her Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy Specialisation. During her role as a specialist pharmacist, Yiying has garnered extensive clinical experience in the management of Infectious Diseases pharmacotherapy, particularly in the management of antibiotic-resistant Gram-negative bacteria. She has also published widely on epidemiology of infections, antimicrobial pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and outcomes of interventions for the prevention and management of antimicrobial resistance.
