Dr. Kelly Cawcutt, MD, MS, FACP, FIDSA is an Associate Professor of Medicine and board certified in Critical Care Medicine and Infectious Diseases. She is the Medical Director of Medical Quality and an Associate Director of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology for Nebraska Medicine, and Co-Director of Digital Innovation and Social Media Strategy for the Infectious Diseases Division of University of Nebraska Medical Center. She is nationally involved with the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America. Dr. Cawcutt’s research interests include vascular access, healthcare-associated infections with focuses on CLABSI and VAE/VAP, and the use of social media in medicine. Dr. Cawcutt is also a requested speaker in faculty development, with interest in the use of social media in medicine, early career development, and advancing the careers of women.
