Program Director, Infectious Disease Fellowship

Dr. Wald-Dickler is the Program Director of the Infectious Disease Fellowship Training Program Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center in Los Angeles. He is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Population & Public Health Sciences at the University of Southern California (USC) Keck School of Medicine where he also serves as core faculty in the school's Global Medicine Program.
Dr. Wald-Dickler is active clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine and Division of Infectious Diseases at LAC+USC Medical Center where he also serves as the Associate Hospital Epidemiologist and Vice Chair of its Infection Control Committee and Pharmacy & Therapeutics Antimicrobial Subcommittee. Prior to his current roles in Medical Education and Hospital Epidemiology, Dr. Wald-Dickler also served for two years as the Medical Director of the LAC+USC Rand Schrader HIV Clinic and the Ambulatory Infectious Disease Clinic at LAC+USC Medical Center.
Dr. Wald-Dickler's research and academic interests and experience include educational aspects of Infection Prevention & Control and Antimicrobial Stewardship, HIV Clinical Trials, and practical implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship with an emphasis on safe and evidence-based transitions from IV to oral antimicrobials.
