Anne Piantadosi MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and a practicing Infectious Disease physician at Emory University School of Medicine. Anne earned an MD/PhD from the University of Washington, completed clinical training in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease at Massachusetts General Hospital, and conducted post-doctoral research at the Broad Institute. Her group's current research directions include: genomic epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 and emerging tick-borne viruses (Powassan virus and Heartland virus), as well as unbiased viral detection using metagenomic sequencing.
