Clinical Pharmacy Specialist II in Infectious Disease
Emory University Hospital
I have been interested in infectious diseases since my undergraduate studies at Georgia Tech in Biochemistry, of which was further strengthened throughout my pharmacy school tenure at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in Athens and Augusta, Georgia. I completed my post graduate year 1 (PGY1) pharmacy residency in general hospital medicine at Emory University Hospital (EUH) and followed that up with a post graduate year 2 (PGY2) in infectious disease pharmacy at Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM). I have served as the infectious disease pharmacy specialist at EUH for the last three years where I assist in the direct care of a variety of patient populations, including solid organ transplant, cystic fibrosis, hematology/oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients as well as help coordinate the antimicrobial stewardship program for EUH, Emory University Orthopedics and Spine Hospital (EUOSH), Westley Woods Hospital (WWH), and Emory Rehab Hospital (ERH). When I have free time, I enjoying spending it reading, catching up on whatever HBO or Netflix has to offer, playing trivia (pre-pandemic), and doing some form of exercising.
