Michael Ray, MPH is a PhD candidate in epidemiology at the Oregon Health & Science University as well as a researcher at the Oregon State University College of Pharmacy in Portland, Oregon. Michael's interests include drug resistance and antibiotic stewardship, and how resistant organisms spread throughout and between healthcare facilities. Michael is currently working on his dissertation where he is examining the specific contexts in which hospital-associated C. difficle infection rate is an accurate proxy for antibiotic stewardship, and plans to defend his dissertation in the winter.
