Dr. Perkins was born Memphis, Tennessee where he attended pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. While pursuing his Doctor of Pharmacy, he engaged in infectious diseases stewardship and research opportunities, quickly developing a passion for the field. His passion for infectious diseases was further solidified during his PGY1 residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he was able to participate in unique infectious diseases related projects. Now at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a PGY2 infectious diseases pharamcy resident, Dr. Perkins has continued to be involved in many infectious diseases projects while further developing clinical knowledge of complex infectious diseases. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing with his cat (Willow), relaxing in nature, and caring for his many plants.
