Dr. Julian Torres is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine and an Infectious Disease attending physician at Montefiore Moses Campus. Dr. Torres is a graduate from Universidad del Valle in Colombia, his home country. He did his Internal Medicine training at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and his Infectious Disease fellowship at NYU. He is presently the clinical lead for the HIV prevention programs at the Oval Center at Montefiore. He has been involved in medical education and sits at different committees, including the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion group. Dr. Torres also collaborates with colleagues in Colombia and has worked with them in HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) implementation projects. He has published his work in different international journals. He runs a busy outpatient clinic and provides infectious disease consultation at the hospital. He is a proud latino and is passionate to advocate for his community.
