Dr. Seema Lakdawala is a virologist specializing in the airborne transmission of respiratory viruses like influenza virus. Her research includes characterization of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions to block the spread of respiratory viruses. In addition, her group is known for assess the pandemic risk of circulating zoonotic influenza viruses like those found in pigs, cattle, and birds, etc.
