Dr. Keval Thakkar, a dynamic medical professional, holds expertise in diverse research areas and is deeply committed to holistic well-being. With a medical degree from India, he currently serves as a researcher at Medstar Georgetown Transplant Institute in Washington D.C., specializing in kidney and liver transplant research.
Having experienced medical systems globally, Dr. Thakkar's knowledge transcends borders. His transition into medical research in the United States reflects his insatiable curiosity. An avid mentor, he guides students from Georgia, UK, in scientific writing and research methodology.
Dr. Thakkar's research interests encompass dermatology, preventive medicine, and infectious diseases. Subsequently, a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa exposed him to intriguing cases in Infectious Disease, inspiring him to compose a compelling report on the Hafnia Alvei bacteria. The bacterium is a normal gut commensal and non-pathogenic, except in immunocompromised patients, making it an important subject of investigation.
A valuable member of the International Journal of Clinical Research, he contributes through peer-reviewing manuscripts and serves as Assistant Director in the Webinar Series Division, organizing impactful webinars.
