Dr. Brenda I. Anosike, is an assistant Professor, Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases and Director of the Pediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore, Bronx, NY.
After completing her pediatric residency training at Brown University, she worked overseas for several years in the Republic of Tanzania as a clinical director treating children with HIV/AIDs and co-morbidities. Thereafter, she undertook a clinical research fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at Boston Children’s Hospital where she also completed a Master of Public Health in clinical effectiveness at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
Dr. Anosike’s primary clinical role includes management of various infectious diseases in healthy children, adolescents and young adults as well as those with complex medical conditions and the immunocompromised. She is co-lead for the pediatric COVID-19 monoclonal antibody program, antimicrobial/diagnostic stewardship program and instructor in global health. Her research focuses on antimicrobial management of orbital cellulitis, clinical outcomes of COVID therapeutics in children, antimicrobial stewardship tools, and immunocompromised care.
