Dr. Lucar is an Infectious Disease Physician and an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at The George Washington University (GWU) School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious diseases by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has served as an investigator in various clinical research studies and his areas of interest include HIV and its associated co-infections, mycobacterial infections, bacterial resistance, and COVID-19 therapeutics. He currently serves as the chair of GW Hospital's antimicrobial stewardship program.
