Celisse Zabalo, MD, is a current third year Pediatrics resident at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She is originally from Miami, Florida. She attended Florida International University for her undergraduate education where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and served as Team Leader for her Senior Design Project developing a robotic system for transradial catheterizations. She then went on to work for the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis before earning her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. During medical school she was President of the Pediatrics Interest Group and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She is currently completing her Pediatrics residency at the University of South Florida and has a special interest in Immunology.
