Dr. Emma Taylor-Salmon, MD is a clinical fellow in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Taylor-Salmon holds a BA in biology from Bard College, received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, and completed her pediatric residency at Yale University School of Medicine. Her primary research interests are vectorborne and emerging infections. Prior to medical school, she spent two years at the NIH as part of the IRTA program researching the interactions between P. falciparum and the Anopheles immune system with Dr. Carolina Barillas-Mury. As part of her fellowship, Dr. Taylor-Salmon is working in Dr. Nathan Grubaugh’s lab at the Yale School of Public Health to investigate the genomic epidemiology of dengue outbreaks in Florida and the impact of travel surveillance on detecting dengue outbreaks in resource-limited countries.
