After completing my medical school and graduating from India I Immigrated to the US. I completed a combined Medicine and Pediatrics residency followed by Infectious Disease fellowship from St John Hospital Detroit; I was fortunate to stay in the same institute as Infectious Disease faculty and now currently as Director of Infection Control . Though most of my early research has been on staphylococcus aureus my focus is now on healthcare infection prevention and surveillance and now since the start of COVID 2019 Pandemic, most of my research has focused around COVID 2019.
I have been very fortunate to be associated with outstanding clinicians and mentors who have taught me and continue to do so and also to learn from my colleagues, associates , fellows, resident students ancillary staff and above all my patients which have contributed in my growth.
