Internal Medicine Resident
National Medical Center "20th of November", Mexico
M.D Alicia Sarahi Ojeda Yuren, Internal Medicine Resident in the National Medical Center "20th of November" in Mexico City.
I studied Medicine from August 2015- June 2021 at the Anahuac University of Mexico City, because I wanted to make a difference and help people to relieve their physical pain and suffering. While I was studying my career I also completed a Diplomat in Medical Leadership at the Anahuac University. In June 2019-August 2020, I completed my medical internship at the Central Military Hospital, where I had my first approach to medical research where I published my first scientific paper "An Integrated Review of the Hepatorenal Syndrome". I continued my research journey one year after at my medical social service in bioethical research, being the Academic Coordinator of the Anahuac Bioethical and Clinical Neuroethics Group (BINCA). Later on, while I was studying for my National Residency Exam I was a particular teacher of English and medical subjects because I have always loved to share knowledge with younger generations. When I received the approved grade on the National Residency Exam, I decided to enter the Internal Medicine Specialty, since I have always thought that the best way to treat a patient is by having a holistic approach. Nowadays I have three published scientific papers in Journals of International importance, one book chapter on Intech Open, a Neuroethics book collaboration, and I am currently working on four scientific papers. My interest in infectology grew during the last year in my resident field, where I acknowledged the importance of correct antibiotic stewardship. Therefore, I started developing clinical research on the prevalence of Acinetobacter Baumanni XDR which was presented last year at the National Congress of Internal Medicine in Merida, Mexico. Right now, that work has been expanding until I included Pseudomonas XDR.
